Early Intervention & Neonatal Care

Treatments and Programs

The earliest months of life are a critical window for brain development. During this period, timely support can profoundly influence a child’s physical, cognitive, and emotional trajectory. At SNEH, our Early Intervention & Neonatal Care program is designed to support infants from birth — especially those who are medically fragile, born prematurely, or identified as high-risk.

Why Early Intervention Matters

A newborn’s brain is highly adaptable, forming millions of connections every second. When challenges are identified early and addressed appropriately, the potential for improvement is significantly greater.

Early intervention can:

  • Support optimal motor development

  • Prevent or minimize developmental delays

  • Reduce the severity of long-term impairments

  • Promote feeding and positioning skills

  • Improve sensory processing and regulation

  • Strengthen parent–infant bonding

  • Build confidence in caregivers

Even small, timely adjustments can create meaningful lifelong impact.

Babies Who May Benefit

Our program supports infants with known medical conditions as well as those showing subtle developmental concerns.

We commonly work with:

  • Premature and low birth weight babies

  • NICU graduates

  • High-risk newborns

  • Babies with birth complications

  • Hypotonia or hypertonia

  • Feeding and positioning difficulties

  • Delayed motor milestones

  • Genetic or neurological conditions

  • Infants with poor head control or asymmetry

  • Babies who are unusually stiff, floppy, or irritable

Parents’ concerns are always taken seriously — you do not need a formal diagnosis to seek guidance.

Our Approach at SNEH

Caring for newborns and young infants requires advanced expertise, gentle handling, and deep understanding of developmental physiology.

Comprehensive Developmental Assessment
We evaluate posture, movement patterns, tone, reflexes, sensory responses, and functional abilities.

Neuroprotective Handling & Positioning
Guidance is provided on safe ways to hold, carry, feed, and position the baby to support development.

Gentle, Infant-Led Therapy
Interventions are subtle, non-invasive, and aligned with the baby’s comfort and cues.

Feeding & Oral-Motor Support
We address challenges related to sucking, swallowing, and coordination when needed.

Parent Coaching & Empowerment
Parents learn practical strategies they can confidently use at home every day.

Follow-Up & Developmental Monitoring
Regular reviews ensure progress is tracked and interventions evolve as the child grows.

Care Beyond the Clinic

True early intervention extends into daily life. We partner closely with families to create nurturing environments that support development during routine activities such as feeding, sleeping, play, and caregiving.

Our team also collaborates with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
