Clinical Psychology

Treatments and Programs

A child's emotional well-being is just as important as their physical and developmental growth. At SNEH, our Clinical Psychology services focus on understanding each child's emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and psychological needs, while providing compassionate, individualised support to help them navigate life's challenges.
Childhood is a period of immense change, learning, and discovery. Sometimes, children may find it difficult to express their feelings, manage emotions, adapt to new situations, or cope with developmental and environmental challenges. Through professional psychological assessment and appropriate interventions, we aim to help children develop emotional resilience, healthier coping strategies, and a stronger sense of self.

When Can Clinical Psychology Help?

Clinical Psychology can support children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioural, developmental, or psychological difficulties, including:

  • Emotional Regulation: Difficulty managing frustration, anxiety, anger, or overwhelming emotions.

  • Behavioural Challenges: Persistent behavioural difficulties that affect everyday routines, relationships, or learning.

  • Anxiety & Emotional Distress: Excessive worries, fears, separation anxiety, or difficulty coping with change.

  • Developmental Concerns: Psychological support for children with developmental delays, autism, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

  • Attention & Self-Regulation: Challenges with attention, impulse control, and managing everyday demands.

  • Social & Interpersonal Difficulties: Difficulty forming relationships, navigating social situations, or expressing feelings.

  • Adjustment & Coping: Support during significant life changes, stressful experiences, or challenging family and school situations.

  • Parenting & Caregiver Guidance: Helping families understand a child’s emotional and behavioural needs and respond constructively.

Our Approach at SNEH

Comprehensive Psychological Assessment

We seek to understand each child’s developmental history, emotional well-being, behaviour, strengths, and areas of concern to guide appropriate support.

Individualised Psychological Interventions

Interventions are tailored to the child’s age, developmental abilities, concerns, and individual goals.

Child-Centred Therapy

Age-appropriate approaches, including play-based techniques where suitable, help children explore emotions, develop coping skills, and communicate their experiences.

Emotional & Behavioural Support

We help children work towards improved emotional awareness, self-regulation, problem-solving, and adaptive behaviour.

Parent & Caregiver Counselling

We guide families in understanding their child’s needs, strengthening communication, and creating supportive environments at home.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Where appropriate, our clinical psychologists collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, special educators, and other professionals to support the child’s overall development.

Supporting the Whole Child

A child’s behaviour often communicates needs and feelings that they may not yet have the words or skills to express. Understanding these underlying needs is an important step towards meaningful change.

At SNEH, we strive to create a safe, respectful, and supportive space where children and families feel heard, understood, and guided without judgement. Our focus is on nurturing emotional well-being, strengthening resilience, and helping every child participate more confidently in everyday life.

SNEH — Nurturing emotional well-being, empowering families, and helping children flourish from within.
